A Mothers Day Prayer

I pray for mothers and children who are fortunate to be around each other, may they be grateful.

For the mothers who silently mourn the loss of their unborn babies and children, and the children that mourn the loss of their mother, comfort them.

For the new mothers, give them strength to embrace the ups and downs of motherhood.

For the single mothers trying to hold it together, may they find the strength to do so.

For the mothers that need a break and can’t get one, that they may find moments to relax.

For the stay at home mothers and for the working mothers who work around the clock, may they find the right balance.

For the mothers raising a special child, give them the patience and strength to do so.

For the mothers caring for a sick child and for children caring for a sick mother, give them comfort and courage.

For the mothers rejected by their child, may they be reunited.

For the mothers trying to restart their career, may they find the right job.

For the mothers in need of self esteem and confidence, that they may see that they are fiercely and wonderfully made.

For the mother worrying and waiting for her child to return, may she hear her child’s voice to put her mind at ease.

For the mothers who have strained relationships with their children, may they find their way to each other.

For the mothers and children battling life threatening illnesses, give them strength and courage.

For the mothers that have lost their soulmate’s, may their children fill their loneliness with happiness.

Lastly, I pray for the mothers who have gone on before us, may they continue to watch over their children and be at peace.
